You don't need a bae for Valentines Day.

Guys and girls, stop being annoying on Valentines day.
If you're single then it's really not the worst thing in the world to be ‘alone’ on Valentines day and if you're in a relationship it's not a competition to outdo your friends/that hot girl you follow on insta whose boyfriend bought her a Michael Kors watch and ran her a bath.
Let me elaborate. I have been single on Valentines day and I have been in a relationship on Valentines day and both are fine if you accept it for what it is - a bit of fun and a way for Clinton's to squeeze some money out of us all. £5.95 for a card?! I could get a happy meal for that Mr Clinton and that comes with a free toy AND chips  (and who doesn't love chips? no seriously….who?)
Valentines day doesn't dictate that you have to have a partner to enjoy it - go out with your girlfriends, grab the lads for a pint - spend time with your friends! Host a Galentines party like I did and end up a strip club in the early hours of the morning. (That one might not be for everyone…) Sometimes life can get in the way, so I think it's crucial to make as much time for your friends and family as you possibly can- love comes in all forms! It's not partner specific.
I love love. I'm practically the love cheerleader - I tear up at don't tell the bride and feel immense pride and happiness whenever a friends relationship is going well. I love seeing pictures of people happy, and I'm one of the first to hit the like button when someone becomes Facebook official with their significant other. You go Glen Coco.
I don't understand people who are opposite to this - the people who will revel in a relationship break down or make snarky remarks about a couple taking a selfie. All I can think is that these people aren't happy with themselves...finding enjoyment in others misfortune (romance related or otherwise) does not make you a better person and it certainly won't make you happier. Just be nice, okay?
On a similar note, if you're in a relationship and find yourself complaining that your significant other hasn't bought you a Michael Kors watch/a platinum unicorn, then stop. Be grateful for what you do have - love is more valuable than any possession you can buy in a shop.
You don't have to be showy - it can be as simple as making a cup of tea or remembering to record your other halfs favourite TV show...it's the thought and the little things that really count.
Whatever you find yourself doing this Valentines Day then have a blast.
And if anyone wants to buy me a platinum unicorn I can message you my address.
 Thanks.
